Hungarian Folk Dance beginner

Peasant life is a major component of Hungarian history and one of its most colourful elements is dancing.

Maintaining traditions, cultivating and passing them onto the younger generations are the main aims of the guardians of this tradition. Although it is an integral part of national life, it is truly enjoyed internationally too. There are many foreign students attending the course. The dances that can be learnt are: from the Transdanubian region: Sárközi, Somogyi; from the Great Hungarian Plains / Tisza region: Dél-alföldi, Kalocsai, Palóc, Szatmári, girl dances of Imreg, from Transylvania: Széki, Mezőségi dances.

Time: Thursdays at 7:00pm - 8:30pm

Location: PTE Dancing Hall (Ifjúság útja 6. building B)
