The aim of the course is to introduce the participants to Southern Slavic culture through folk dance, which reflects the Balkan mentality with its energy and rhythm.

The dances to be introduced include the dances of Croatians and Serbs (Sokác and Bosnian ethnic groups) living in Baranya County as well as the dignified and stormy dances of Macedonia. Apart from getting a taste of Southern temper, students can learn, among others, the following dances: Tanac, Rance, Rotkve (Bosnian dances), Kukunjesce, Jabuke, Kolo (Sokác), Momacko kolo, Rokoko (Catholic Serbian dances), Sestorka, Popovicanka, Setnja (Serb dances), Tropnalo oro, Crno gorka, Zajko (Macedonian dances).
